The doors to Hay Festival officially opened on 26th May and in celebration our Series 1 GB Gin Land Rover has taken up residence at the close by Foyles of Glasbury, where we’re told the sun will be shining and the gin will most definitely be flowing. If you’re visiting the festival make sure you stop by and see Coco and the Foyles team for a GB&T.
On Friday 3rd June William will be joining a panel for the event ‘Farming with a difference’ chaired by Dan Saladino of BBC Radio 4′s The Food Programme.
William will be joined by Illtud Llyr Dunsford, Jane Scotter and Stephen Jones, as the four producers discuss identifying a specialist market and are making farming pay. William will cover his story of re-inventing himself from potato grower to purveyor of Tyrrell’s Crisps, before moving on to form Chase Distillery. Illtud Llyr Dunsford of Charcuterie Ltd is a seventh-generation farmer flying the flag for home-cured meats and reviving a taste for veal. Jane Scotter of Fern Verrow farms fruit and veg biodynamically, and Stephen Jones is growing quinoa, the new superfood previously chalking up thousands of food miles from South America.
