Food festival season begins for us this weekend with the Ludlow Food Festival, a firm favourite in the events calendar. If you’ve never been before just imagine a beautiful historic town and castle, with an amazing food culture, mixed with passionate local chefs, food producers and an array of exciting attractions, and Ludlow Food Festival is what you’ve got. For food lovers, Ludlow is paradise!
We began distilling in April 2008 and Ludlow Food Festival in September was our first ever consumer event. We had a tiny stand in the outer bailey showcasing our vodka to a wonderfully receptive crowd of passionate foodies, we’ve been back every year since without fail.
The beauty of this event is that all of the producers have to be fairly local to Ludlow – the rules of the Food Festival, which is organised by a team of enthusiastic volunteers, mean that only producers who are based in the counties on either side of the Welsh border are eligible to trade in the tents. It’s a fine showcase of all the local wares on offer, and something to be very proud of.
We will be resuming our fabulous position on the castle entrance (same spot you found us in last year) and this year for the first time we shall be bringing with us our fully kitted out horsebox bar. We hope the sun will be shining, but whatever the weather the Great Chase cocktails and the GB&T’s will most definitely be flowing.
We’ll also be bringing all of our latest tasty tipples for you to try, so be sure to stop by the Chase bar for a taster, we’ll look forward to seeing you there.
