Earlier this month James jetted off to the USA for the Winter Fancy Food Fair in San Francisco. Whilst he was over there James thought it was only right to check out what the LA bar scene had to offer – starting with The Supper Club.
More than a members-only society, The Supper Club is a restaurant without walls, an old-school social network of talented, interesting, and like-minded individuals coming together for exclusive, salon-style soirees in alluring locales across the globe. Reviving the traditional ways of entertaining in a fresh and unconventional manner, founder Tamsin Lonsdale hosts up to eight private happenings each month bringing together formidable guests at the hottest restaurants, most gorgeous residences, and unique and surprising spaces. With high style, a discerning palate, and a unique sense of whimsy, The Supper Club is now serving London, New York, Miami, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
On January 25th, for their first cocktail party of the year, The Supper Club hosted a lively First Bite introductory event at Obicà Sunset Plaza. Guests gathered in the early evening to be greeted by fine Italian wines from Antinori and delicious cocktails Chase cocktails.
As guests mixed and mingled, sumptuous Italian hors d’oeuvres were tray-passed amongst the crowd, including a delicious gnocco fritto and salami felino, and a mini pizzetta al tartufo with black truffle, mozzarella and ricotta di bufala. As the evening finally came to a close, many guests stayed for dinner after in the restaurant to carry on the wonderful Obica experience. James had a fantastic time and it was great to see our Chase Vodka going down so well in the US!
