We were delighted to welcome our Danish distributors and some of the countries finest shop keepers to the distillery for a tour last week. A trip to the English countryside however would not be complete without a few country pursuits to indulge in. Here’s what happened when Denmark got ‘a taste of Chase’.
It all began with a ‘truly British’ lunch of finger sandwiches, pork pies and a selection of local cheeses at our hotel, Verzon House, before heading to the distillery for a behind the scenes tour and tasting hosted by James Chase.
Dinner and multiple cocktails at Verzon House ensued before calling it a night ahead of the ‘surprise’ activity that we had planned for the next day.
The following morning we headed back to the farm, but this time we drove straight past the distillery and into the apple orchards to get a hands on look at where the story really begins, plus we couldn’t think of a better setting for a Chase Smoky Bloody Mary served out of the back of our Series 2 Land Rover, brunch and a spot of clay pigeon shooting.
William’s eldest son Harry Chase was on hand to demonstrate how it’s done, he then split the group into two teams; girls vs boys, and the battle began! There were no losers however and the full group headed home with a Chase Distillery hipflask each as a prize.
We very much hope they’ll be visiting us in Herefordshire again soon!
