On the 17th June we headed to Chewton Glen for the annual Dine and Disco evening for Children In Need. We set up our horsebox bar and prepared our bar ready to serve GB&Ts to the bidders who won tickets to this exclusive fundraising event!
The event was held at the five-star luxury Chewton Glen Hotel in the New Forest will be your base for the entire day. The guests were treated to some delicious refreshments whilst they registered for a day of country pursuits. The day was packed with a collection of classic and quirky activities, from sublime to the ridiculous including: falconry, gun dog handling, ferret racing, laser clay pigeon shooting and archery.
Food was cooked and supplied by a selection of chefs and served up in the walled garden with specially created Food Stations, offering some mouth-watering dishes…
Tom Kerridge, created a delicious spit roast lamb with all the trimmings, José Pizarro brought a taste of Spain to The Forest with jamón and cheese along with his signature pan con tomate. Atul Kochar created some of the finest Curry’s in curry corner and Chewton Glen’s Head Chef Luke Matthews was in charge of the seafood and shellfish bar with his team manning the wood-fired pizza station.
Our bar was on hand with our Williams GB Gin, which, of course, complemented the food perfectly. On top of all of this and the fantastic live entertainment, the event raised £1,709,263 for charity. A great success if we do say so ourselves!
