Katherine is our expert in Global Travel Retail – she’s the girl in charge of managing our family of spirits within airports, cruise ships, airlines and ferries. Find out where in the world she’d jet off to enjoy a Chase tipple and how she has progressed at Chase so far…
What is your journey so far at Chase?
I started in September 2016, as an Analyst within the International team after graduating from the University of Reading with a degree in Economics. Since then, I have progressed to an exciting role within Chase Global Travel Retail.
What does your role entail and what is your favourite part of your role?
My role entails building Chase brands within a number of key airport locations, airlines, cruises and ferries. I try to visit an airport every week, whilst also supporting our Chase Brand Ambassadors within UK terminals.
If you could have a drink anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
The Clumsies in Athens! The coolest bar ran by Nikos Bakoulis (now No.6 in the World’s Top 50 Bars), where I’d enjoy a delicious creation with our GB Gin.
What attracted you to become part of the Chase team?
After graduating I wanted to work for a brand, after narrowing down my favourite things (gin being one of them) Chase was number one! Ever since then, I’ve loved my experience here so far… plus the people behind Chase are all great, it’s such a fun team to work with.
What is your favourite Chase spirit and serve?
Right now in the hot weather, I am drinking Pink Grapefruit G&T’s like they’re going out of fashion!
What distinguishes Chase?
The fact that Chase is a global brand produced in the heart of my home county, Herefordshire, is something I think is special. Herefordshire is a small but beautiful place so I’m proud that we are helping to put it on the map. The fact we use potatoes grown on our farm to create our Chase Vodka which we re-distil into our Gins is also a stand-out element – no one else does it quite the same. Also, the stand-out Union Jack bow tie on some of our bottles is a great attraction within Global Travel Retail – I often have to organise replacements after people sneaking them off!
