The similarities of a beautifully made mac and a bottle of Potato Vodka you may ask? Our answer: quite simply is that they are both made from scratch, in the UK, with a whole lot of love. Our field to bottle ethos has been, and always will be at the forefront of everything we do and when we discover others pioneering the same, we can’t help but appreciate and resonate with what they are doing.
Private White’s HQ is the last remaining clothing factory is the world’s first industrial city, Manchester and having opened their doors in 1853, their story is rich in family history. James Eden, CEO and founder, took the helm of his great-grandfather’s factory to develop it to what it is today and named it in his honour. After serving for the British army in WWI, Private Jack White trained as a pattern cutter, moving onto general manager and then factory owner. Later awarded the prestigious Victoria Cross, Private White V.C. is a name with a little more to it than first thought.
Today, they create expertly hand-crafted men’s rainwear, coats and jackets. They have complete ownership over the whole process and no detail is left untouched by the highly skilled team of experts. 90% of their raw materials are sourced within a 40-mile radius and have a number of initiatives installed to ensure an honest and sustainable product journey.
Like ourselves, their interest in keeping everything close to home as they possibly can, presents a thoughtful approach adding even more to the quality of the garments.
For one week only we are teaming up with our friends at Private White V.C. to give one lucky person the chance to win one of their iconic Ventile Macs and a year’s supply of our Original Potato Vodka. Simply head over to our Instagram page here to enter.
