3 ways you can support the hospitality industry in uncertain times
In this uncertain time, the hospitality industry is facing an extremely tough time and as consumers, you are at the heart of why they do what they do day in, day out.
We’ve put a pen to paper and thought of a few ways in which we can all do our bit to help them out, making things a little bit easier for them…
Purchase gift vouchers
Whilst you are practicing social distancing, in self isolation or your
favourite bar, restaurant, café has had to temporarily close their doors, why not
purchase a gift voucher to spend at a later date? It’ll be a welcome treat for
both you and them in a few months’ time.
If your friend or family member is celebrating a special occasion, a gift voucher is also something you can pop in the post with a lovely hand written note to wish them well.
Show your support
More than ever, a few kind words of support go a long way. If you love a particular cocktail they serve or are the people behind your go-to weekend treat, tell them and let them know you’ll be right back there as soon as you can.
Order a delivery or takeaway
Many places are adapting to the changing situation by offering a take away or delivery service (most already did before). Make the most of this and enjoy in the comfort of your own cosy home, with a G&T of course.
If you are able to, please consider donating to Hospitality Action to help support those in the hospitality industry who will potentially be facing a very tough time ahead. Whether it is equivalent to what you’d spend on a meal out at your favourite bar or restaurant this weekend or just a small amount, every little will help our fellow bartenders, waiting staff and chefs out.
