Chase & Verzon Gourmet Experience

Last week a few carefully selected guests had the pleasure of attending a luxury gourmet experience at Verzon House, Ledbury featuring fantastic locally sourced produce and selected products from Chase Distillery. The evening was organised and run by Kate Chase, the owner of the Verzon House, Callum McDonald, the head chef and James Day, the owner of Gourmet Lifestyle Experiences

On arrival by helicopter at the distillery the lucky guests were treated to a full distillery tour where they were able to learn about every step of our Vodka production, from field to bottle. They were then guided into the shop for a tasting session where they were able to sample the whole range. After exhausting the samples, they were whisked over to Verzon House where Kate treated them to a welcome drink and some delicious canapés, all freshly prepared in house by Head Chef Callum. He explained to them the importance of buying all food locally and from sustainable sources and demonstrated the freshness of the food. When all the guests were comfortably sat and enjoying their first Chase cocktail, Callum began to prepare their meal, Chase Smoked Vodka cured Salmon. They were treated to a step-by-step demonstration before moving onto the next section, the cucumber caviar and a delicious Bloody Mary sauce to tie it all together.

Once the cooking demonstration was over, the guests were left to enjoy their food with a chilled glass of Maison Williams Chase wine, directly from Kate and William’s Chateau in the South of France. Finally, they retreated to the comfort of their plush bedrooms in the Verzon and enjoyed a well-deserved sleep before rising for a five star breakfast and reluctantly heading home. We hope that everyone thoroughly enjoyed their experience at The Verzon and will be back soon for another evening of gourmet indulgence. In the meantime if you cannot make it to the next installment of this fantastic evening, you can get the recipes for our smoked vodka salmon here and book a distillery tour here.
