Difford’s Guide to Elderflower Liqueurs

Elderflower liqueurs are delicately flavoured, aromatic and floral. We think, much like Simon Difford that it mixes brilliantly with pretty much every spirit.

In Difford’s Guide’s most recent article Simon Difford talks about how in 2006, he helped formulate and launch the world’s first elderflower liqueur, calling the now popular liqueur the ‘Bartender’s Ketchup’.

He quotes, ‘My elderflower liqueur of choice – Chase Elderflower Liqueur. Being a proud Brit I’m proud of using a liqueur produced with a spirit base and elderflower blossoms produced on the same English farm where the liqueur is hand-bottled’.

Simon also includes in the article some of his favourite elderflower based cocktails, we’ve featured two of our favourites below.
