English Rhubarb Season Has Arrived

The English spring time greets us with an abundance of new life, beautiful blossom and the start of providing us with fruit and vegetables that we can use in the kitchen, bar and at home. The celebrated appearance of Rhubarb is somewhat a herald that winter is over with and here in England, the evenings are pleasingly lighter.

Although most commonly used as a fruit, it is a little known fact that Rhubarb is actually a vegetable. It’s vibrant pink colour and tart characteristics make it the perfect ingredient for a number of desserts, dishes and specifically for us, our gin and vodka. 

We first introduced our Rhubarb Vodka and then later released our Rhubarb & Bramley Apple Gin just last year. Both use our Original Potato Vodka and GB Gin for a base of which cold-pressed English rhubarb juice is blended to give the delectable, natural flavour.
