Our GB Tour So Far…

We’re nearly at the end of the first week of our GB Tour and what a week we have had! Read more to find out what we have been up to…

Last Saturday we started our journey at The Pig in Studland for the first edition of Smoked and Uncut 2017! Members of our team traveled down in our trusted Land Rover for a weekend of Chase cocktails, delicious home-cooked food and live music. Spirits were high as we basked in the sunshine and enjoyed the company of close friends and family and took in the amazing scenery.

As Smoked and Uncut came to a close on Sunday night, Phoebe took the wheel and made a quick getaway to Bristol in preparation for our Sunday night GB Gin event. Phoebe welcomed locals to Bristol’s newest cocktail bar for an fun-filled evening of gin and music. The gin and tonics flowed and a good time was had by all! There was no rest for Phoebe though as she packed up the Land Rover once again ready for our #MondayFunday campaign. She decided to bring a little Monday motivation to the workers of Bristol and set about hand delivering gin to the most deserving. All they had to do was tweet or Facebook message us and tell us where they were and we would make sure they received gin to sample that evening! Throughout the day we visited the offices of The Bristol Post, Bristol 24/7, Bristol 365 and The Student World amongst others. We hope we brought a little bit of fun to an otherwise dull Monday!

On Tuesday Tilly took the reigns and we headed deep into the heart of the Cotswolds, to The Manor House Hotel for a gin-filled garden party. The event was attended by members of the Cotswold Inns and Hotels Team, corporate clients and friends of the company. Tilly set up three different cocktail stations in the garden and we set about serving different Williams GB Gin cocktail variations, including a Negroni and a GB&T. The chef at the Manor House whipped up some delicious Gin-themed canapés including GB Gin lemon drizzle cakes and beetroot and gin cured salmon – it’s safe to say that a good time was had by all!

Yesterday we stayed close to home and drove up to Birmingham where we were welcomed with open arms by Loki Wines and The Highfield House. Tilly ran a tasting for passersby during the day and then sped over to the Highfield in the evening for their GB Gin themed supper club. 45 lucky guests attended and were treated to a welcome GB&T on the terrace, before heading up into their private dining area for the supper. There was a cocktail flight which included a specially selected cocktail to complement every gin-themed course, including Gin cured salmon, cucumber salad and lime mayo followed by gin braised lamb shank with rosemary gnocchi, broad beans and peas and a juniper jus. The excellent bar staff mixed up a Gin Twist for the starter and a GB Fruit Twist for the main. The evening was rounded up by a speech from Tilly and the guests left with a Williams GB Gin goodie bag so that they could recreate the cocktails at home.

Today we are heading up North to Liverpool and Ben has taken the wheel of the tour. He will be making his way around Liverpool before heading over to Manchester, Leeds and Newcastle for more gin-themed fun! We will keep you updated as the tour progresses but please keep checking our social media pages for information about the next stops on the tour.
