The first leg of the Great Chase tour begins today as James and Alice set off on their adventure towards Barcelona.

Following a farewell from the distillery team (you’d be forgiven for mistaking this for a ‘classic car’ procession of vintage Land Rover’s) we saw them off on their journey towards Plymouth where they will be boarding the ferry for Santander.

They will of course be having some fun along the way and are planning on breaking the journey with stop offs at a number of Spanish towns and cities enroute. In particular they will be spending a couple of days in San Sebastián, a place that any food lover is sure to know well.

Considered the jewel of northern Spain’s Basque country and frequently topping lists of the World’s best places to eat, San Sebastián is famed for it’s beautiful architecture, sandy beaches, and of course the pintxo that some say put the city on the map! No trip there would be complete without stopping off at La Gíntoneria Donostiarra where the gin menu is sure to impress and each is served and garnished to perfection. We may be biased, but the fresh and fruity combination of Williams Elegant Gin, tonic and freshly sliced apple makes the perfect digestif.  

The journey will then take them via Pamplona, Zaragoza, Lleida and then finally Barcelona, arriving on Wednesday 27th April to host a ‘meet the maker’ event at Magatzem Escola , if you’re in the city and would like to come along simply RSVP via
