Roll up! Roll up! The roll off results are in…

The Great British Roll Off took place last night at The Red Lion in Barnes, and what a night it turned out to be. It’s serious business after all.

16 of the finest pubs from around the capital and beyond gathered, and consequently cheered as their creation took centre stage with the judges; Charles Champion, Lisa Faulkner, Hayden Groves and Danny Kingston, otherwise known as Food Urchin.

Tasting these mouth watering creations did however prove to be thirsty work, so luckily we were on hand with trays laden full of tempting Chase Marmalade Mule tasters.

At the end of four tense heats and much deliberation from the judges, the all important ‘Roll Off’ trophy was awarded to Chris Brumby of Bens Canteen in Battersea. His winning sausage and quails eggs creation was beautifully accompanied by a delicious Chase Vodka Bloody Mary food pairing.

Not forgetting the all important second and third place, which went to The Opera Tavern and The Running Horse Mayfair.
